Flower Shoulder Tattoo Ideas: FAQ
What size flower tattoo fits a shoulder?
The shoulder takes medium to large designs, usually 6 to 15 cm. A long stem can follow the curve from the collarbone to the top of the arm; a wider design suits the shoulder blade.
Front shoulder, top of the shoulder or shoulder blade?
The front of the shoulder is visible in a tank top, the top of the shoulder curves with the arm, the shoulder blade is the easiest to hide. Try the same design in two of these spots.
Can I test a tattoo before getting it?
Yes. A temporary tattoo that looks like real ink lets you live with the design for 10 to 14 days (7 to 10 on fingers). It goes on in about 5 minutes and the color develops over 24 to 36 hours, so you see the real size and placement before you book an artist.
Which way should a flower shoulder tattoo face?
Most stems follow the line of the collarbone or run down toward the arm. Wearing the design for a few days shows you which angle looks right when you move.
