Butterfly Tattoos for Women: Try Yours First: FAQ
Which butterfly tattoo suits a woman best?
There is no single answer: a one-line butterfly is discreet, a flight of butterflies follows the shape of the shoulder or the ribs, a filled butterfly reads from across the room. Pick the style first, then test it where you plan to get it.
Where is the best place for a butterfly tattoo on a woman?
The most chosen spots are the wrist, the ankle, behind the ear, the collarbone, the shoulder blade and the ribs. Small designs suit the wrist and the ear; a flight of butterflies suits the shoulder blade or the ribs.
Can I test a tattoo before getting it?
Yes. A temporary tattoo that looks like real ink lets you live with the design for 10 to 14 days (7 to 10 on fingers). It goes on in about 5 minutes and the color develops over 24 to 36 hours, so you see the real size and placement before you book an artist.
What does a butterfly tattoo mean for a woman?
It is usually read as change, freedom and a new chapter. Several butterflies often stand for people who matter. The meaning is the one you give it.
