What's in the kit?
Every InkToday tattoo ships in its protective sleeve, with an application guide to help you put it on.
How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?
INKTODAY tattoos are designed to fade within 10 to 14 days.
How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.

Geometric temporary tattoo: test overlapping squares before committing for life
Geometric tattoos are among the most popular styles in France and across Europe. Their sharp lines, precise angles and capacity to create optical illusions make them a bold, meaningful choice. But they're also an unforgiving style: a wrong placement or an ill-judged size can disappoint. That's exactly why geometric temporary tattoos exist.
What do overlapping square shapes mean?
The square is one of the oldest geometric symbols. It represents stability, order, structure and grounding in the material world. In sacred geometry, overlapping squares create visual tension between planes, evoking depth, progression and the balance between opposing forces. This design is appreciated for its apparent minimalism that conceals deep symbolic complexity.
Where to place overlapping square temporary tattoos?
The compact 5.2 x 5.2 cm size makes it highly versatile. Popular placements for this geometric motif include:
- Forearm: always visible, ideal to evaluate daily visual impact
- Wrist: perfect fit for this size, subtle yet present
- Nape: maximum effect with hair up, strong impact at events
- Ankle: summer placement, great for holidays or festivals
- Shoulder: pairs well with existing geometric tattoos
When to wear this geometric temporary tattoo?
The most common occasions cited by buyers of geometric temporary tattoos include music festivals, bachelorette parties, beach holidays, photo shoots, and creative industry professional events. Above all, it's the go-to tool for testing a design before committing to permanent ink.
How to apply this temporary tattoo?
Application takes about 5 minutes. Clean and dry the chosen area. Remove the protective film, press the tattoo face-down against the skin, press with a wet sponge for 30 seconds, then gently remove the paper. Allow 2-3 minutes to dry. To extend wear, avoid areas that rub and apply a little dry oil each day.
Care and lifespan
This geometric temporary tattoo lasts an average of 10 to 14 days depending on placement and washing frequency. Articulated zones (hands, feet, elbows) wear faster. To remove it early, vegetable oil or an oil-based cleanser is sufficient. The ink is vegan and EU cosmetics compliant. No black henna risk: the composition is transparent and tested.
What does a geometric temporary tattoo cost? This design is available from 13€, compared to a minimum of 60-200€ for a permanent tattoo of similar size in a studio. That's the price of a test, not a regret.
