How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.

How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:

A pizza temporary tattoo lasts 10 to 14 days on the skin depending on the placement and your daily habits. Areas with less friction, like the arm or shoulder, keep the design longer. The tattoo fades gradually and naturally, without peeling or leaving marks.
To maximise longevity, apply the tattoo on clean, product-free skin. Let it dry completely before any contact with water.
How do you apply a pizza temporary tattoo?
Application takes under 30 seconds. Cut out the design, place it printed side down on your skin, wet the backing with a damp sponge for 20 seconds, then gently peel off the paper. The tattoo is immediately visible and completely painless.
No artistic skill required. The result is crisp, colourful and ready to show off in moments.
Is the pizza tattoo safe for skin?
InkToday temporary tattoos use certified ink, free from black henna and paraphenylenediamine (PPD), the two main sources of irritation flagged by health authorities. The product is designed for surface skin application and suited to sensitive skin.
If you notice unusual redness or itching, remove the tattoo immediately. A patch test on a small area is recommended for very reactive skin types.

The temporary pizza tattoo is designed for adults. For children, a patch test on a small skin area is recommended and adult supervision during application is advised. Avoid areas near eyes and mouth.
How long does the tattoo take to apply?
