What's in the kit?
Every InkToday tattoo ships in its protective sleeve, with an application guide to help you put it on.
How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?
INKTODAY tattoos are designed to fade within 10 to 14 days.
How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:
🦵 Leg: day 1 to 5 (very dark colour), then day 6 to 12 (colour fading).
🦶 Foot: day 1 to 8 (very dark colour), then day 9 to 14 (colour fading).
🦵 Knee: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).
💪 Forearm: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).

Oriental temporary tattoo: test a design before committing for life
Oriental tattoo designs cover a wide universe: arabesques, rosettes, Arabic calligraphy, henna-inspired mandalas, lotus flowers and sacred geometry. These designs carry strong symbolic meaning, protection, balance, spirituality, and their popularity in permanent tattooing keeps growing. The challenge: a permanent oriental tattoo is irreversible and costs between €60 and €200 depending on size and studio. That is exactly where the oriental temporary tattoo comes in.
The InkToday logo oriental temporary tattoo measures 4.1 x 4.2 cm, a compact format that fits the most sought-after placements: wrist, ankle, nape of the neck, inner arm. It lasts 10 to 14 days with an ultra-realistic finish. Price: €13, up to 15 times less than a permanent tattoo.
Where to place an oriental temporary tattoo?
The most popular placements for an oriental design are the wrist (visible, elegant), the ankle (discreet under jeans), the nape of the neck (strong effect revealed by hairstyle) and the inner wrist. A 4 cm design fits perfectly in each of these spots.
What occasions call for a temporary oriental tattoo?
The temporary oriental design works for many specific occasions: oriental wedding or themed party, summer festival, bachelorette weekend with an arabesque aesthetic, trip to North Africa or the Middle East, fashion photoshoot, or a creative gift for a friend considering a permanent tattoo. The compact format and realistic finish also make it a great costume accessory.
Is it safe?
Yes, as long as you choose certified ink. The InkToday oriental temporary tattoo is formulated without black henna, without PPD, compliant with EU standards. The only temporary tattoos that pose a risk are those made with chemical black henna (PPD) at some festival stands. No reaction risk here.
FAQ: oriental temporary tattoo
How long does a temporary oriental tattoo last?
10 to 14 days depending on body placement and skin hydration. Areas with less friction (collarbone, shoulder blade, ankle) last longer than hands or feet.
Does a temporary tattoo look like a real oriental tattoo?
With quality ink and careful application, the result is ultra-realistic: fine lines, dense black, no blurry edges. The difference is nearly invisible at a distance.
Are temporary oriental tattoos safe for skin?
Yes. Temporary tattoos compliant with EU standards are safe for skin. Avoid uncertified products or those containing black henna (PPD), they can cause severe allergic reactions.
What is the price of a temporary oriental tattoo?
Between €4 and €15 depending on size and quality. The InkToday logo oriental is €13 for a 4.1 x 4.2 cm format with ultra-realistic finish and 10-14 day wear.
Can you use a temporary oriental tattoo to test before going permanent?
That is exactly its primary use. Wear the design in the exact spot you are considering for a permanent tattoo, live with it for 10 to 14 days, then decide. It is the test-drive before the commitment.
How do you remove a temporary oriental tattoo?
Apply vegetable oil (coconut, sweet almond) to the design, leave for 30 seconds, then gently rub with a cotton pad. The tattoo disappears without a trace.
