What's in the kit?
Every InkToday tattoo ships in its protective sleeve, with an application guide to help you put it on.
How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?
INKTODAY tattoos are designed to fade within 10 to 14 days.
How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:
🦵 Leg: day 1 to 5 (very dark colour), then day 6 to 12 (colour fading).
🦶 Foot: day 1 to 8 (very dark colour), then day 9 to 14 (colour fading).
🦵 Knee: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).

The fine line lotus flower tattoo, no needle and no regret
The lotus flower tattoo is loved for its fine line and minimalist look. This InkToday design recreates the lotus with a delicate dotted line, measures 3 x 1.8 cm and applies in 5 minutes. You test the design before thinking about a real permanent tattoo.
What does the lotus symbolize? The lotus grows in mud and opens into a pure flower above the water. It stands for rebirth, purity and quiet strength. It is a very popular motif for women and men alike, often paired with an infinity sign or a butterfly to deepen that meaning.
Where to place it? The wrist stays the top pick for a discreet, minimalist look. You can also go for the forearm as a sleeve piece, a finger, the ankle, the foot or behind the ear. The fine line fits everywhere.
What is the price of this lotus flower tattoo? A real lotus tattoo costs between 60 and 200€ at a studio, and it is permanent. This temporary design starts from 10€. You wear the motif for 10 to 14 days, then it fades away with showers.
Care. Let it dry for 2 minutes after applying and avoid rubbing for the first few hours. The tattoo is waterproof, so showers, the sea and the pool are no problem. A bit of oily cream removes it in seconds whenever you want a change.
FAQ
What does the lotus flower mean?
The lotus symbolizes rebirth, purity and inner strength, because it blooms above muddy water. It is a spiritual motif loved by women and men, often worn to mark a fresh start.
How much does this lotus flower tattoo cost?
Its price starts from 10€, versus 60 to 200€ for a real permanent tattoo at a studio. You get the same fine line look, with no needle and no lifelong commitment.
Does it look like a real tattoo?
Yes. The fine line and dotted detail mimic a studio artist's ink. Applied on clean skin, the motif blends in and fools the eye up close.
How long does it last?
The tattoo lasts 10 to 14 days depending on the area and friction. The wrist and hands fade a little faster since we wash them often.
What if I regret it?
No worries. The motif fades on its own within 10 to 14 days, or right away with a little oily cream or oil. No trace, no commitment.
Does the lotus work as a sleeve piece or on a finger?
Yes. Its fine line makes it perfect as a small forearm sleeve, on a finger or paired with an infinity sign. You build the minimalist look you want.
