How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?

How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:

Between 10 and 14 days depending on placement and aftercare. Low-friction areas (forearm, shoulder, ankle) hold longest. Avoid scrubs and body oils on the tattooed zone to maximize duration.
Is a temporary flame tattoo waterproof?
Yes. It resists showering, swimming pools and the sea. The ink does not run when in contact with water. Extended rubbing (towel, tight clothing) can speed up fading at the edges.
How do I remove a temporary flame tattoo?
Apply an oil (baby oil, coconut oil or oil-based makeup remover) to the area, leave for 2 to 3 minutes, then rub gently with a cotton pad. The design fades without residue or skin irritation.
Is it safe for skin? Does it contain black henna?
No. This tattoo contains no black henna or PPD (para-phenylenediamine), the molecule responsible for severe allergic reactions. The ink is vegan, dermatologically tested and compliant with European cosmetic regulations.
Can I use this flame tattoo to test a future permanent tattoo?
That is exactly the recommended use. Wearing the design for 10 to 14 days on the intended area lets you validate the placement, size and look before making a permanent 60-200€ decision.
Is the temporary flame tattoo suitable for children?
The formula is gentle and PPD-free, but we recommend a patch test on a small area (inner wrist) 24 hours before full application for any sensitive skin, child or adult.
