- On in 5 minutes, waterproof all day: wet the cloth, 30 seconds of pressure, done, holds through showers, pools, and festival crowds.
- Vegan ink, zero black henna, EU-certified: dermatologically tested formula, PPD-free, none of the allergens behind summer horror stories.
- The smartest way to test your tattoo placement before going permanent, collarbone, inner wrist, behind the ear: watch how people react for two full weeks.

What's in the kit?
Every InkToday tattoo ships in its protective sleeve, with an application guide to help you put it on.
How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?
INKTODAY tattoos are designed to fade within 10 to 14 days.
How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:
🦵 Leg: day 1 to 5 (very dark colour), then day 6 to 12 (colour fading).
🦶 Foot: day 1 to 8 (very dark colour), then day 9 to 14 (colour fading).
🦵 Knee: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).
💪 Forearm: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).
💪 Shoulder: day 1 to 7 (very dark colour), then day 8 to 14 (colour fading).
💪 Upper arm: day 1 to 7 (very dark colour), then day 8 to 14 (colour fading).
✋ Hand: day 1 to 4 (very dark colour), then day 5 to 8 (colour fading).

Temporary lettering tattoo: test a "fly" script for 10 to 14 days risk-free
A temporary lettering tattoo lets you wear a word, initial or short script on your skin for 10 to 14 days, with no needle and no permanent ink. The fly design (0.7 x 1.5 cm) transfers in five minutes onto any body area: wrist, collarbone, ankle, nape, inner arm. It then fades naturally as your skin renews.
This minimalist format suits three distinct profiles. First, people considering a real tattoo who want to test placement, visibility and social reactions before paying €60-200 at a studio. Second, those who want a discreet accessory for a specific event: festival, bachelorette party, wedding, trip, photoshoot. Third, people whose skin does not tolerate permanent inks or whose work dress code restricts visible tattoos.
The fly script measures 0.7 x 1.5 cm. This size targets low-profile, high-meaning placements: inner wrist, behind the ear, nape base, ankle. The ink is vegan, black-henna-free, PPD-free, compliant with EU cosmetic regulations. At €10, this temporary tattoo sits well below studio pricing as an accessible test.
FAQ, Temporary lettering tattoo
How long does a temporary lettering tattoo last?
Between 10 and 14 days depending on placement, skin type and exposure to water and friction. Low-friction zones (collarbone, back, ankle) hold longer than hands or feet.
How do you apply a temporary tattoo?
Dampen a clean cloth, place the design print-side down on skin, press firmly for 30 seconds, peel the backing away slowly. The design is set and waterproof in under five minutes.
How do you make a temporary tattoo last longer?
Avoid moisturizing creams, oils and hydrating soaps on the tattooed area. A thin layer of petroleum jelly or transparent liquid bandage spray creates a barrier against friction and moisture.
How much does a temporary lettering tattoo cost?
The fly design starts at €10, versus €60-200 for a permanent studio tattoo. It is the cost of a risk-free test before committing to permanent ink.
Are temporary tattoos safe for skin?
Yes, provided the ink contains no black henna (PPD). Black henna can trigger severe allergic reactions. The formula used here is vegan, dermatologically tested and compliant with EU cosmetic standards.
What are the risks of temporary tattoos?
Known risks come only from black henna and low-quality inks that do not meet EU standards. An EU-certified, PPD-free temporary tattoo presents near-zero risk on healthy skin.
Where should you place a minimalist lettering tattoo?
Inner wrist, collarbone, ankle, behind the ear and the nape base are the most popular placements for a short script like fly. These are also ideal spots to test visibility before going permanent.
