How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?

How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:

Unlike a permanent tattoo that requires a needle, a studio appointment (from 60€ for a few centimetres) and a lifelong commitment, a temporary lettering tattoo applies in 5 minutes with a damp cloth and fades naturally.
How do you apply a temporary lettering tattoo?
Application takes under 5 minutes. Place the tattoo printed side down on clean dry skin, press with a damp cloth for 30 seconds, peel off the backing paper and it's done. The result is waterproof: holds in the shower, at the pool and at the beach. To remove it before it fades naturally, a few seconds of vegetable oil or makeup remover does the job.
How long does a temporary lettering tattoo last?
Wear time is 10 to 14 days depending on placement area, skin type and daily routine. Low-friction zones (forearm, shoulder blade, nape) retain the tattoo longer than hands or wrists. The duration is long enough to genuinely test the look of a real lettering tattoo before making a permanent decision.
