What's in the kit?
Every InkToday tattoo ships in its protective sleeve, with an application guide to help you put it on.
How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?
INKTODAY tattoos are designed to fade within 10 to 14 days.
How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:
🦵 Leg: day 1 to 5 (very dark colour), then day 6 to 12 (colour fading).

Temporary Asian dragon tattoo: test-drive before you commit for life
The Asian dragon is one of the most meaningful tattoo designs in Eastern traditions. In Chinese culture, it embodies divine power, prosperity and good luck. In Japanese tradition, it stands for wisdom, transformation and protection. Wearing this symbol, even for a few days, makes a strong statement. Now you can see exactly what it looks like on your skin before making a permanent decision.
This temporary Asian dragon tattoo measures 8.5 x 5.7 cm and applies in 5 minutes on the arm, shoulder, nape, calf or chest. It lasts 10 to 14 days depending on your skin type and routine (showering, sport, sun exposure). At from €10, it is the cheapest way to validate a design and placement before investing €60-200 in a permanent tattoo.
Unlike cheap temporary tattoos that flake within 48 hours, this Asian illustration uses vegan ink with no black henna, compliant with EU cosmetic safety standards. The formula is waterproof: it survives showers and sweat. Clean removal with vegetable oil in under 2 minutes, no residue.
When to wear a temporary Asian dragon tattoo?
The occasions are many: a summer festival where you want a striking look with no consequences, a trip to Japan or China to immerse yourself in the culture, a bachelorette or bachelor party with an Asian theme, a cosplay or yakuza costume, or simply a unique gift for someone hesitating to get a real tattoo.
Chinese dragon vs Japanese dragon: what is the difference?
The Chinese dragon has 4 or 5 claws per paw and is associated with imperial authority. The Japanese dragon (Ryu) has 3 and symbolises wisdom and natural strength. The Asian illustration on this temporary tattoo draws from the Oriental graphic art tradition, with precise black ink linework that echoes Japanese irezumi tattoos.
