Crescent Moon Tattoo with Dotted Pattern
Crescent Moon Tattoo with Dotted Pattern
Test-drive a real crescent moon dotwork tattoo for 10 to 14 days on your skin before committing for life. No needle, no pain, no regret.
A permanent crescent moon tattoo costs far more at a studio. Here, you wear the 4.4 x 3.5 cm design for 10 to 14 days and decide with full knowledge.
- Exclusive dotwork style: the pointillist texture delivers a sophisticated graphic look that plain crescent moon designs simply can't match.
- 5-minute application: dry skin, dampen the backing, press 30 seconds - perfect before a festival, bachelorette, trip, or boho wedding.
- Clean EU-compliant formula: vegan ink, zero black henna, zero parabens - waterproof in the shower, fully compliant with EU cosmetic standards.
- The real test-drive: see the exact placement (wrist, collarbone, ankle, nape), the actual size on your skin, and the real effect before making a permanent decision.

What's in the kit?
Every InkToday tattoo ships in its protective sleeve, with an application guide to help you put it on.
How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?
INKTODAY tattoos are designed to fade within 10 to 14 days.
How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:
🦵 Leg: day 1 to 5 (very dark colour), then day 6 to 12 (colour fading).
🦶 Foot: day 1 to 8 (very dark colour), then day 9 to 14 (colour fading).
🦵 Knee: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).
💪 Forearm: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).
💪 Shoulder: day 1 to 7 (very dark colour), then day 8 to 14 (colour fading).
💪 Upper arm: day 1 to 7 (very dark colour), then day 8 to 14 (colour fading).
✋ Hand: day 1 to 4 (very dark colour), then day 5 to 8 (colour fading).

Temporary crescent moon dotwork tattoo: test before you commit
The crescent moon is one of the most searched tattoo motifs in France and across Europe. Its meaning resonates across cultures: renewal, femininity, new beginnings, personal growth. But before paying for a permanent tattoo and enduring the needle, there is a smarter option. InkToday's temporary crescent moon tattoo with dotwork pattern lets you wear the design for 10 to 14 days on your skin, at the exact placement you want.
The dotwork style sets this crescent moon apart from standard designs. Each point forms a subtle texture that catches the light, especially on the wrist, collarbone, ankle, or nape of the neck. At 4.4 x 3.5 cm, the format is calibrated for these classic moon tattoo placements.
Placements and ideal occasions
The dotwork crescent moon works on any clean, visible area of skin. Most popular placements: inner wrist (visible with every gesture), collarbone (jewel effect), ankle (perfect for summer and festivals), nape (subtle but striking). This temporary tattoo fits a range of specific occasions: music festivals, bachelorette parties, travel, boho weddings, and personal transition moments. The crescent moon is also the most requested design to symbolize a new beginning.
Application takes 5 minutes: clean dry skin, place the tattoo print-side down, dampen the backing with a wet cloth for 30 seconds, peel gently. The tattoo lasts 10 to 14 days depending on skin type and care. It is waterproof in the shower and resists daily friction.
On safety: the ink is vegan, free from black henna, free from parabens, and compliant with EU cosmetic standards. Reactions linked to temporary tattoos come almost exclusively from black henna PPD, which is absent here. On price: this temporary crescent moon tattoo lets you try a design that would cost far more at a professional studio.
