What's in the kit?
Every InkToday tattoo ships in its protective sleeve, with an application guide to help you put it on.
How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?
INKTODAY tattoos are designed to fade within 10 to 14 days.
How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:
🦵 Leg: day 1 to 5 (very dark colour), then day 6 to 12 (colour fading).
🦶 Foot: day 1 to 8 (very dark colour), then day 9 to 14 (colour fading).
🦵 Knee: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).

InkToday ink: how we designed it
We developed our InkToday formula drawing on the natural, ancestral practices of tribes who used plant sap to mark their skin.
Our unique formula lets our INKTODAY tattoos last longer while giving a deeper, blacker colour.

GPS coordinates tattoo: test the design before committing
A permanent GPS coordinates tattoo is a lifelong commitment to a specific placement and design. InkToday's temporary version lets you validate the real look on your skin, test the ideal placement, and wear this meaningful design whenever the timing is right for you.
The 5 x 5 cm format faithfully reproduces the numbers and minimalist typography of coordinate tattoos. It lasts 10 to 14 days with tested plant-based ink, no commitment, no needle.
Where to place a GPS coordinates tattoo?
The forearm and upper arm remain the most popular placements for this design: the flat surface highlights the fine number typography. The collarbone and nape offer a more discreet look, perfect for a matching coordinates couple tattoo.
The inner wrist suits smaller formats, while the back and ribs allow combining coordinates with other elements like mountains or a compass.
How to customize geographic coordinates for a tattoo?
Geographic coordinates are written in two formats: DMS (degrees, minutes, seconds) like 48°51'24"N 2°21'05"E, or decimal format like 48.8658 N / 2.3513 E. DMS format is generally preferred for tattoos as it offers a more elegant and graphic visual result.
To find exact coordinates for a location, Google Maps works perfectly: right-click on the map to instantly display decimal values, easily convertible to DMS.
Frequently asked questions about GPS coordinates tattoos
How do you write coordinates for a tattoo?
The most used format for a coordinates tattoo is DMS: degrees (°), minutes ('), seconds ("). For example: 48°51'24"N 2°21'05"E for Paris. Latitude (N or S) comes first, then longitude (E or W). This format gives a neater, more readable typographic result than decimals.
Where should you get a GPS coordinates tattoo?
The forearm is the most requested placement for a GPS coordinates tattoo: the flat surface highlights the typography. The collarbone, nape, and inner wrist also work very well for smaller designs. The back allows combining coordinates with other graphic elements.
How long does a temporary coordinates tattoo last?
InkToday's temporary tattoo lasts 10 to 14 days depending on placement and care. Areas with less friction (collarbone, back, nape) retain the design longer. Avoiding long baths and oily soaps extends wear time.
Is the temporary coordinates tattoo customizable?
Yes, InkToday's geographic coordinates design is available with values printed on the product. It reproduces the minimalist typographic style characteristic of permanent coordinates tattoos, in 5 x 5 cm format, suited to the most common placements.
What is the difference between a permanent and temporary coordinates tattoo?
A permanent coordinates tattoo requires a studio session (several dozen euros minimum), healing time, and a definitive commitment. InkToday's temporary version costs 10.00 €, applies in under 2 minutes, and fades naturally in 10 to 14 days, with no needle or pain.
How do you remove a temporary coordinates tattoo?
The tattoo fades naturally in 10 to 14 days. For quick removal, gently rubbing with oil (bath oil or vegetable oil) then rinsing is enough. A gentle exfoliant speeds up fading without irritating the skin.
