What's in the kit?
Every InkToday tattoo ships in its protective sleeve, with an application guide to help you put it on.
How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?
INKTODAY tattoos are designed to fade within 10 to 14 days.
How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:
🦵 Leg: day 1 to 5 (very dark colour), then day 6 to 12 (colour fading).
🦶 Foot: day 1 to 8 (very dark colour), then day 9 to 14 (colour fading).
🦵 Knee: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).

Celestial temporary tattoo: test moon and stars on your skin with zero commitment
Celestial motifs (moon, shooting stars, constellations, sun) rank among the most searched tattoo designs in France and across Europe. Their appeal lies in universal symbolism: the moon represents cycles, femininity and transformation; stars evoke guidance, hope and a connection to the cosmos; constellations carry personal astrological identity. All strong reasons to want them on your skin, and equally strong reasons to be sure before committing to something permanent.
What do celestial tattoos mean?
A celestial tattoo draws from the night sky: crescent or full moon, single stars or constellations, stylised sun, comets. Each element carries its own meaning. The moon symbolises creation, growth and protection across many cultures. Stars are linked to destiny and intuition, the idea of navigating your own path. Wearing these motifs as a temporary tattoo lets you see how they sit on your body and complement your style before making any permanent decision.
Where to place a celestial temporary tattoo?
Celestial designs work on many body areas. Most popular placements: the wrist for an understated everyday look, the forearm or arm for visibility, the shoulder or nape for a graphic effect, the ankle for summer. With the Céleste InkToday pack (5x5 cm per design), you can test different placements across the 4 tattoos in the set before you decide.
Perfect occasions
A celestial temporary tattoo is ideal for a festival or concert, a moon on the shoulder or a star near the temple completes a look without permanent consequence. It makes an excellent gift for a hen do, where each guest picks her celestial motif for the occasion. It also works as a birthday, Christmas or Valentine's gift, or simply to switch up your look for summer holidays. It's also popular during pregnancy, for those who want a design without the risks associated with permanent ink.
Price and value
A single celestial temporary tattoo from major French brands ranges from €5 to €12.90. The Céleste InkToday pack offers 4 celestial designs for €15, under €4 per tattoo. A permanent celestial wrist tattoo typically costs €60-200 at a studio, with no easy removal. The temporary pack is the price of a trial, not a regret.
How long does it last? Care tips
An InkToday temporary tattoo lasts 10 to 14 days depending on placement and skin type. To maximise longevity: avoid high-friction zones (elbow creases, palms), pat dry after each shower, and skip moisturiser over the tattooed area. The design fades naturally without leaving a mark. It's fully waterproof, shower, pool and sea safe.
Is it safe for skin?
InkToday temporary tattoos use vegan ink formulated to EU cosmetic standards, with zero black henna (PPD, the main allergen found in low-quality temporary tattoos). Sensitive skin? Do a small patch test before full application.
