What's in the kit?
Every InkToday tattoo ships in its protective sleeve, with an application guide to help you put it on.
How do I apply my tattoo?
Our tattoos are painless and very easy to apply yourself – it only takes a few simple steps.
Follow the application guide supplied with your tattoo, or watch our video tutorial here.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
Your tattoo then stays visible for 10 to 14 days depending on where you apply it on your body, before fading away naturally.
Colour and appearance
Unlike most temporary tattoos, INKTODAY ink bonds to the surface of your skin instead of simply sitting on top of it.
Once applied, the ink reacts with the proteins and the keratin in your skin, and darkens within 24 to 36 hours.
The final result looks like a real tattoo, in a deep blue-black colour.
How long does the tattoo last?
INKTODAY tattoos are designed to fade within 10 to 14 days.
How long they last depends on where you apply them, on your daily activities and on how hydrated your skin is.
The ink fades gradually as your skin renews itself naturally.
Here is an estimate of how long they hold, area by area:
🦵 Leg: day 1 to 5 (very dark colour), then day 6 to 12 (colour fading).
🦶 Foot: day 1 to 8 (very dark colour), then day 9 to 14 (colour fading).
🦵 Knee: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).
💪 Forearm: day 1 to 6 (very dark colour), then day 7 to 12 (colour fading).
💪 Shoulder: day 1 to 7 (very dark colour), then day 8 to 14 (colour fading).
💪 Upper arm: day 1 to 7 (very dark colour), then day 8 to 14 (colour fading).
✋ Hand: day 1 to 4 (very dark colour), then day 5 to 8 (colour fading).

What does the 999 tattoo mean and what does it symbolize?
999 is a number associated with the end of one cycle and the beginning of a new chapter. Worn on the wrist or hand by artists like Juice WRLD, it has become a symbol of personal transformation embraced in tattoo culture, in both permanent and temporary form.
The InkToday temporary 999 tattoo reproduces this motif in black ink on a 5 x 5 cm format, suited to the wrist, hand or neck. The result is sharp and high-contrast, readable up close and in photos.
How long does a temporary 999 tattoo last?
The temporary 999 tattoo lasts between 10 and 14 days depending on the placement and care taken. Areas with little friction, such as the collarbone or forearm, keep the design intact longer than the hands or ankles.
To extend wear, avoid prolonged soaking and applying moisturizer directly on the tattoo. A small habit that makes a real difference in how long the design stays sharp.
How much does a temporary 999 tattoo cost?
The InkToday 999 temporary tattoo is priced at 10.00€. This sits in the upper range for single temporary tattoos, reflecting the 5 x 5 cm format and the print quality that closely mimics real ink on skin.
A permanent 999 from a professional tattoo artist is a lifelong commitment. The temporary version lets you test the design, placement, and look before making that decision.
Frequently asked questions about the 999 tattoo
Where should I place a 999 tattoo for the best result?
The inner wrist is the most common placement for the 999, making it visible without effort. The hand, neck and forearm are also popular choices. For a temporary tattoo, areas with less friction give the best lasting wear over the full 10 to 14 days.
Is the InkToday 999 tattoo waterproof?
Yes, the tattoo holds through running water, quick showers and moderate sweat. Extended immersion in a pool or the sea will speed up peeling. After contact with water, pat the area dry gently without rubbing to maintain the design.
What are the risks of a temporary tattoo?
Risks are minimal with ink formulated without PPD or black henna. InkToday ink is designed for sensitive skin. If you notice persistent redness or itching after application, remove the tattoo and consult a doctor. Always test a small area first if you have reactive skin.
How do I apply the 999 tattoo correctly?
Clean and dry the skin area you have chosen. Remove the protective film, place the tattoo print-side down on your skin, apply a damp cloth and hold firm pressure for 30 seconds. Peel back the paper backing carefully. The design is immediately visible and reaches full intensity within a few hours.
Can I remove the 999 tattoo before 14 days?
Yes. Baby oil or an oil-based makeup remover dissolves the ink quickly without irritating the skin. Apply the product to the design, leave it for two minutes, then rub gently with a cotton pad. The tattoo disappears completely in one or two applications.
Is the 999 tattoo suitable for sensitive skin?
The ink is formulated without common sensitizing ingredients and suits most skin types. If you have a history of allergies to cosmetics or inks, test the product on a small area for 24 hours before full application.
